Finding peace in a troubled world is a serious challenge. However, Christ does not want us to be troubled. Christ offers us peace and shows us what we need to receive that peace – God’s loving Providence and each other.

Because they are a part of life, and despite their difficulty, our struggles give God a chance to show us God’s love and to show us that we have cause to hope. And we do have cause to hope. Maybe hope is what God’s glory feels like.

The Providence Project is a summer service program in Mosses, Alabama. Young adult volunteers live together in community with Sisters of Divine Providence and work with children in an educational summer camp. We’ll build in time for community, prayer, and, of course, fun! We’ll also visit some of the historical sites in Selma and Montgomery, Alabama to learn more about the civil rights movement and racial justice in our own time.
